Join us on the West Coast for the FSU Home Visiting Training Institute in Seattle, Washington!

Training will be held at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront and conclude by 4:00 p.m. each day so that you can refresh, recharge, and enjoy all Seattle offers. The Special Conference Rate is $219.00 per night (tax and parking not included). Upon registration, you will receive the discount code for reservations.

Getting to the Hotel: The hotel does not offer transportation to and from the airport. Taxis/Ubers run anywhere from $40-$50 each way, depending on traffic and time of day

Registration includes breakfast each day, an afternoon snack on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and lunch on Friday.
There will be a reception with light hors d'oeuvre on Wednesday evening.

Partners for a Healthy Baby

Experience our 2-day training showcasing our Partners Digital Curriculum 2.0 with new parent handouts, updated research, and more! Learn how to support your families and achieve program goals using the newly updated, research-based Partners for a Healthy Baby digital curriculum. In this training participants will learn how to use the digital curriculum to fidelity in order to plan effective home visits. During this 2-day interactive training participants will become familiar with content in the Partners curriculum they can use to promote healthy birth outcomes; support parenting skills that promote optimal bonding, attachment, and responsive caregiving; teach parents ways to facilitate their child's development; and more easily address topics that may be difficult to discuss. 20-Hour Breastfeeding Counselor Course

Does your program have a trained breastfeeding counselor? We recommend that every program have at least one home visitor trained in breastfeeding counseling. This 3-day hybrid training is designed for those who wish to learn the basics of teaching breastfeeding and use strategies to increase breastfeeding rates and is ideal for nurses, doulas, home visitors, and community health workers. Day 1 will be a self-paced module you complete on your own prior to the course. Day 2 and 3 we will practice hands-on skills and integrate learning. You must complete all three days and a post-test to receive the Breastfeeding Counselor certificate. Please bring a computer or tablet.
