Learn how to support your families and achieve program goals using the research-based Partners for a Healthy Baby curriculum. In this training participants will learn how to plan effective home visits; promote healthy birth outcomes; support parenting skills that promote optimal bonding, attachment, and responsive caregiving; teach parents ways to facilitate their child's development; detect early signs of health or developmental problems; and more easily address topics that may be difficult to discuss.

This 3-day, 20-hour course utilizes the Curriculum in Support of the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding which has been adapted to fit the needs of home visiting organizations and entry-level breastfeeding counselors nurses, doulas, childbirth educators and community health workers in maternal-child health and focuses on providing services to pregnant women to encourage the initiation and continuation of breastfeeding.
Must attend all 3 days. This course provides 20 CEU’s for Florida Registered Nurses through Suwannee River AHEC and 19.5 LCERPS in partnership with the Ounce of Prevention Fund of Florida.
